Abstract
The Uterine bleeding was the most common presentation who had been diagnosed as congenital uterine arteriovenous malformation. Because diagnosis of arteriovenous malformation was difficult in all patients with uterine bleeding, the importance of
Doppler
ultrasonogram and arteriography for arteriovenous malformation was decribed and emphasized. And the transarterial embolization was bone as first choice of treatment modality.
Among 5 patients, three patients had sucessfully transarterial embolization but two patients was taken total abdominal hysterectomy after transarterial embolization. The transarterial embolization of conservative treatment seems to offer a
possible
means of avoiding hysterectomy in young patients with this rare condition who wish to retain their fertility.
